We just had our Annual AMHR/ASPC and AMHA Show at the Bannock County
Fairgrounds on May 11th-13th. We had an excellent turn out for the AMHR/ASPC Show.
We want to thank everyone that braved the nasty weather we had over the weekend to
come out and support us and have a good time over the weekend.
We had many excellent awards to be raffled off at the show, for the exhibitors. I want to do a shout out
to Pam Bailey and thanking her for making the neck sashes for the Supreme awards,
they where beautiful. Kathy Merrell for doing another great job at creating our courses
for both the AMHR/ASPC and AMHA show and for providing the equipment as well.
Amber Jade Photography for being our show
photographer. If you have not gotten in touch with
her to look at all the wonderful photos that she has
gotten. I recommend reaching out to her and
looking. She has excellent photos. I would also
like to make a shout out thanking Tiffany Atchley,
Steffany Gurzinski and Double E Ranch for their
sponsorships for our show. Without all of our
wonderful sponsorships we would not be able to
have our wonderful prizes for our show. Also would like to thank everyone that helped at the show, as
without your help the show would not have ran as smoothly as it did.
Thanks to Karole Honas with KIFI Local News 8, for coming out and doing a report on our show.We had our show on the local news for May12th, 2018.
We also had our very first Open breed show that was on May 13th after the AMHA
show. It was a lot of fun. It was great practice for the youth. It gave them the ability to
show but then after the class get some coaching on things that they could do better to
help improve their skills for the different
classes. Also was a great opportunity for us
adults to get our babies out and get a little
more practice with them in the show ring. I
would like to take the time and thank Kristen
Clark for volunteering her time to judge the
open show and help share her wisdom.
The results for all three shows are on our
website. This was also our first year for
doing the Iron Horse event with the AMHR/ASPC
Show. The results for the Iron Horse will be posted soon on our website.
Please do let us know if that is something that you liked, and would love to have again next year.
We had our annual officers meeting on May 12th, 2018 at the Buttersburr's in Pocatello,
ID. We had in attendance Felicia, Tiffany, Steffany, Kristen, K-La, Barb. We discussed
things that we did not like at the facility and the things that we each liked about the
facility that we held the show at this year. We also discussed possibilities of future
sponsorships for our show. If anyone has any comments on things that they liked about
the show, did not like or even suggestions to help improve the show or on how to
change the things they did not like about the show. Please reach out to any of the
officers to let us know.
With foaling season in full swing and now that show season has come into full
swing, if you have any pictures or news that you would like to have in the newsletter for
the club please pass the information over to Felicia Humpherys so that I can get it the
